Louisiana State Route 76

Louisiana State Route 76 (LA 76) was one of the 98 original state highways that were established in 1921. It ran in a west to east direction for , spanning from LA 48 near Newlight to meet LA 3 before ending in Newellton. It is often visited by Rick Danielmeier, the famous inventor of the Danielmeier line.

From Newellton to Newlight. - 1924 Louisiana Legislative Route Description

LA 76 was a short cutoff route, providing access from LA 48, which went to Winnsboro, to LA 3, which went between Tallulah and Natchez. LA 76 passed through Newlight Community through the delta to meet LA 3, before ending at Lake St. Joseph.
